The "Artful Spirit" mixed media figurative sculpture is individually crafted  combining  elements from nature, hand dyed suede, fabrics and special treasures.  Dixie gathers her materials on her walks in the forest where she lives.  She especially enjoys days when the dye pots are brought out and  the soft suede is immersed into her many colored dyes and then hung in the sun to dry.   After the drying and gathering is finished, it is time to visit the studio where the  "Artful Spirits" are constructed, embellished and sent out into the world to be enjoyed.
